Salvation

How does one get to heaven. This is an ever important question to ask. Here we outline how you can be sure you are going to heaven. God makes it very simple. You must believe a few facts as established by the scriptures.

1. Every Person Has Sinned.

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”  (Romans 3:23)

Every person who has ever lived has done something that they knew was wrong, that is called sin.

Doing good deeds will not get you to heaven.

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)

2. Christ Died For You.

“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)

The word “commendeth” means proved. God loves you so much that he sent Christ to die for you, and wash away the sins that keep you away from God and heaven.

3. You must ask for salvation.

Sincerely pray to God, something like you see here:
“Dear Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I believe that you died on the cross to pay the penalty for my sins. I ask you to forgive all my sins, to save my soul, so I can go to heaven.  Help me to live for you the rest of my life. Thank you for giving me eternal life.  In Jesus’ name amen.”
